Qatar aiming for 90% digitalization of citizen services by 2030
Qatar, in pursuit of its National Development Strategy 3 (NDS3), is set to establish a dedicated 'Centre of Excellence' focused on data and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence. With a commitment to digitalizing 90% of its citizen services by 2030, the country aims to lead in digital governance, emphasizing customer satisfaction exceeding 85%.
“To achieve this objective, a specialised Centre of Excellence for data and emerging technologies, such as AI, will be established to drive several initiatives. This includes the development of a comprehensive national data governance and management framework, ensuring improved data availability and quality,” it said.
The initiative surrounds a comprehensive national data governance framework, improved data quality and enhanced system teamwork. The strategy also outlines a holistic approach, from revamping service delivery to strengthening accountability and ensuring widespread access to up-to-date information.
Furthermore, the challenge of limited access to up-to-date information will be addressed, ensuring easy access to government reports, policy changes, and open public data. "Adherence to SLAs within and between governmental entities is also expected to exceed 80%," it said.
Qatar collaborates with key industry players to drive digitalization across sectors, marking a significant leap towards smart cities and innovative solutions.
