Qatar Airways starts new interline partnership with Maldivian
Qatar Airways will boost its connectivity in the Indian Ocean region with the start of a new interline partnership with the Maldivian, the national carrier of Maldives, allowing customers to book flights on both airlines.
Customers planning to travel to the Maldives can now make a single booking on both Qatar Airways and Maldivian flights. Once Qatar Airways passengers arrive at the Velana International Airport, they will be directed to the domestic terminal to board their flight to the Maldives.

With our latest interline partnership with Maldives, we expect our passengers to enjoy a seamless start to their vacation, in addition to benefiting from the plethora of new travel benefits. We’re proud to offer the option of a seamless process, allowing passengers to book a ticket that includes both their Qatar Airways flight to Male and the connecting Maldivian flight to their beachside getaway,” said Thierry Antinori, Chief Commercial Officer, Qatar Airways.
“We’re delighted to announce our interline partnership with Qatar Airways, through which our customers will experience seamless connectivity with international baggage allowance while traveling within our network of 17 Maldivian destinations. By offering more choice and better access to our strong and growing route network, we aim to drive tourism to the Maldives, showcasing our pristine islands to travelers from around the world,” said Maldives’ Chief Commercial Officer Ismail Amrah Umar.
The Qatar Airways-Maldives partnership will provide travellers with more choices than ever, with competitive airfares and coordinated flight schedules. Travelers can now fly to 17 domestic destinations in the Maldives, thanks to a new system that improves international connections.
The partnership between the two airlines will provide access to destinations such as Dharavandhoo, Faresmaathodaa, Funadhoo, Fuvahmulah, Gan, Hanimaadhoo, Ifuru, Kaadedhdhoo, Kadhdhoo, Kooddoo, Maafaru, Maavarulu, Madivaru and Thimarafushi.
