Qatar Classic Cars Contest and Exhibition now open to public in Pearl Qatar

The Qatar Classic Cars Contest and Exhibition officially opened to the public yesterday at the Medina Centrale, The Pearl Qatar, and will run until November 20, 2021.
The exhibition allows visitors to view classic luxury vehicles, with 50 cars currently on display.
Chairman of the Gulf Qatari Classic Cars Association said, “Qatar is a home to some of the most important owners of classic cars in the world.”
He went on to explain that the organization aims to develop communication bridges between classic automobile enthusiasts as well as provide a platform for them to communicate and share their experiences.
The oldest automobile on exhibit is a 1931 Rolls Royce Phantom I, which replaced the original Silver Ghost in 1925 as the Rolls Royce successor. The Phantom's engine was larger than the Silver Ghost's, and instead of side valves, it had pushrod-operated overhead valves.
1937 Packard, 1940 LaSalle Series 50, 1946 Lincoln, 1950 Jeep, 1953 Rolls Royce Silver Dawn Drophead, 1955 Pontiac Star Chief, 1954 Jaguar XK 120, 1955 Ford Thunderbird, 1957 Mercedes Benz 220s, and 1959 Cadillac DeVille are just a few of the numerous automobiles on display.
Furthermore, a similar event is planned for 2022, just before the FIFA World Cup. To transport their cars to Qatar, the association will collaborate with other Gulf associations.
