Qatar expresses ‘deep regret’ at resumption of Israeli aggression in Gaza
Qatar has expressed its deep regret at the resumption of Israeli aggression against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip following the end of the humanitarian pause, without reaching an agreement to extend it.
In a statement, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said negotiations between the two sides were ongoing about the resumption of a ceasefire and pause to fighting.

The statement reiterated Qatar’s stance that the country and its mediation partners were committed to continuing the efforts that led to the humanitarian pause and will not hesitate to do everything necessary to return to calm.
The Ministry stressed that the resumption of bombing in the Gaza Strip in the first hours after the end of the pause further complicated mediation efforts and exacerbated the humanitarian catastrophe in the Strip.
It also called on members of the international community to quickly move to stop the violence.
Qatar reiterated its condemnation of all forms of targeting civilians, the practice of collective punishment, and attempts to forcibly displace citizens of the besieged Gaza Strip.
It also demanded an immediate ceasefire and to ensure the continuous and unhindered flow of relief convoys and humanitarian aid in a way that meets the actual needs of the residents of the Strip.
