Qatar to host world’s premier LNG event in 2026
Qatar will host the 21st edition of the International Conference & Exhibition on Liquefied Natural Gas — LNG 2026 — in three years’ time.
The exhibition, a prestigious event in the LNG industry that showcases the continued growth and development of the sector worldwide, will coincide with the historic opening of the North Field LNG expansion project.

The year 2026 will also see Qatar — the world’s largest LNG producer — commissioning one of the globe’s largest Carbon Capture and Storage schemes.
Lolwa Khalil Salat, QatarEnergy’s manager of Public Relations and Communication, welcomed everyone to Qatar in 2026.
“As we receive the reins as the next host of the world’s largest global LNG industry conference and exhibition, we’re full of excitement to be able to welcome you all to Qatar in 2026,” she said, while speaking at a special handover ceremony at the end of LNG 2023, hosted by the Canadian city of Vancouver.

“On behalf of Saad Sherida Al Kaabi, Qatar’s Minister of State for Energy Affairs, the President & CEO of QatarEnergy, and on behalf of all of us in QatarEnergy, we welcome you to Qatar. We look forward to engaging you in a meaningful discussion on how LNG can better serve the world and how to ensure equitable access to energy and greater energy security for all,” she added while thanking LNG 2023 organisers for a memorable event.
The LNG Conference and Exhibition is held every three years by alternating between exporting and importing countries.
The event — jointly organised by the International Gas Union, Gas Technology Institute and the International Institute of Refrigeration — is considered as the premier event for the world’s LNG industry.
