
Qatar International Boat Show kicks off in Pearl Qatar

Under the auspices of HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of State of Qatar, HE Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Abdullah Al Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry, inaugurated the eighth edition of Qatar International Boat Show (QIBS) at The Pearl Qatar.
The exhibition is open for traders, marine life lovers and visitors till November 20 this year at 20-22, La Croisette, Porto Arabia, The Pearl Qatar.
Present on the occasion were H. E. Turki bin Mohammed Al-Khater, UDC Chairman; Ibrahim Jassim Al Othman, UDC President, CEO and member of the board; Khalid Eissa Al Mannai, Chairman, Al Mannai Plus Events; Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Chairman of Qatar International Boat Show, dignitaries, ambassadors and guests.
HE Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Abdullah Al Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry, visited various sections of the exhibition venue where he was briefed about the participating companies and their products at the display.
There are around 35 companies participating and over 50 yachts on display, including jets skis, water sports equipment, and accessories.
Khalid Eissa Al Mannai, Chairman of Al Mannai Plus Events, said that a number of marine and non-marine equipment/products will be launched during the exhibition, which includes around 35 new model boats which were made in Qatar, a 25 feet yacht and two-speed boats; US-made Aquakart by Speed Moto; and two China-made electric compact and compact USV by Chery.
He added that the British made COX Diesel Outboard Engine V8 - 300HP was launched for the first time ever in the GCC and Middle East region by Gulf Ychat at the QIBS platform. Moreover, QIBS also offers a section of pre-owned yachts for sale this year.
Additionally, Hospitality Development Company (HDC) will be officially opening the Shirvan Metisse Doha restaurant during the exhibition.
The sole organisers of QIBS in Qatar, Al Mannai Plus Events, has been organizing the event with consistency since 2013. The strategic partners of the 2021 edition are United Development Company (UDC) and Qatar Airways; while the host is The Pearl-Qatar and Ronautica Middle East; Silver sponsors include Qatar Free Zone (QFZ) and Investment House.
Khalid Al Mannai said that the luxury yacht and boat exhibition provides a platform to the local and regional marine industry including boat manufacturers, services providers, the local dealers, suppliers and the potential buyers exclusive B2B opportunities.
He urged the local and regional luxury lifestyle traders and manufacturers to come forward and participate in QIBS to promote the local marine industry.
