
Qatar lifts all Covid-19 related travel restrictions for international passengers

Qatar’s Covid-19 travel restrictions, which were in effect for several months and years in varying intensities, had helped the country control the disease’s spread and manage things well.

As vaccinations increased and the number of cases went down, the government slowly rolled back the restrictions. And now, Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced the complete lifting of travel restrictions, including for those from China, Hong Kong and Macau.

The Ministry announced that travellers from these nations would no longer have to present a negative pre-travel Covid-19 PCR test result. The decision will come into effect from Saturday, April 1.
The decision was taken after Covid-19 status in this region and at the global level showed significant improvement. The MoPH stated that the latest step brought an end to all Covid-19 travel restrictions in Qatar.
The MoPH encouraged the community to safeguard their health and monitor local and international updates on Covid-19 to stay informed about the latest measures.
