
Qatar Olympics officially establishes Qatar Collegiate Sports Federation

The Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) has officially announced the formation of the Qatar Collegiate Sports Federation (QCSF). The news was first announced in a press conference followed by an official statement on their socials.

QOC has taken the initiative to establish QCSF as a step toward the promotion of sports among male and female students in higher education institutions. The federation is expected to host several activities and events in accordance with the latest sporting advancements and standards.
Some of the objectives of the QCSF include the intention to organize, coordinate and implement sports programs, activities, and projects that lead to the discovery of talented sportsmen and women at the collegiate level. These athletes will be provided opportunities to grow locally, nationally, and internationally.
The press conference was presided by the QCSF president HE Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Naimi and other staff from QOC. Rasid Saeed Adiba, the Head of QOC PR and International Cooperation, Sheikh Khalifa bin Khaled Al Thani, Asma Muhammed Al Naimi, and Dr. Salem Nasser Al Naimi among other officials also attended the event.
Dr. Al Naimi was quoted saying that the QCSF as an entity will play a key role in the Qatar 2030 National Vision through its sustainable sports development. Dr. Al Naimi quoted, “The QCSF is an entity that acts as a complementary level to the sports activities being organized at the primary, intermediate and secondary schools throughout Schools Olympic Program.”
