
Qatar Post unveils stamp to commemorate GCC’s 40th anniversary

Qatar Postal Services Company (Qatar Post) launched a special stamp on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Gulf Coorperation Council (GCC) yesterday, December 21, 2022. The stamp was unveiled via Qatar Post’s official twitter account to commemorate the occasion.

The launch of the stamp celebrates 40 years since the GCC was established and depicts in its design the picture of the founding leaders and the flags of GCC countries.
According to Qatar News Agency (QNA), the stamps will be sold to the public for QAR 5, as the printed quantity of this issue reached 10,000 copies, in addition to 6000 cards, 1500 envelopes and 500 folders.
QNA reported that the Chairman and Managing Director of Qatar Post, Faleh bin Mohammed Al Nuaimi said that issuing the stamp stems from the role of the State of Qatar in embodying the historical, social and cultural reality of the GCC and reflecting solidarity and Gulf unity.
