Qatar ranked 8th best country for Expat Women

InterNations' Expat Insider Report 2022 ranked Qatar 26th Best Place for Expats in 2022 and 8th in the world in the Best Quality of Life for Expat Women category.
Furthermore, Qatar placed fourth in the Health and Well-Being subcategory of the Quality of Life Index.
Qatar placed 8th in another ranking, the Expat Essentials Index. The top 10 list includes all Gulf States except Kuwait.
In total, 52 countries were surveyed in four subcategories. Qatar ranked 17 in the Digital Life category, 10th in Admin Topics, 24th in Housing, and 4th in Language.
Nearly 12,000 people replied to InterNations' Expat Insider 2022 survey, released on Tuesday, representing 177 nationalities and living in 181 countries/territories.

In the survey, expats are asked about their satisfaction with life quality, ease of settling in, working abroad, and personal finances in their respective countries of residence.
The survey is the first to include the new Expat Essentials Index, which includes digital life, admin topics, housing, and language.
In this survey, four out of five Gulf States rank in the top 10 for Language, mainly due to the ease of living there without knowing the local language.
As noted by InterNations, the Admin Topics category includes ease of acquiring a visa, dealing with bureaucracies, and opening a local bank account.
The Digital Life section spotlights websites that offer government services, the ease of accessing high-speed Internet at home, the availability of cashless payments, and unrestricted online access.
In the language subcategory, respondents rated the ease to learn the local language(s) and living abroad without speaking them, whereas Housing is a subcategory that covers how affordable and accessible local housing is.
Recently, Qatar topped the Global Peace Index report for 2022 in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, for the fourth consecutive year. According to the report, Qatar ranked 23 globally out of 163 countries, up six spots from last year.
As of last month, Qatar ranked 18 out of 64 countries in The World Competitiveness Yearbook 2022. The report is published annually by the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Switzerland.
