
Qatar ranked as the safest country in the world

Qatar holds its position as the Safest Country in the world. According to the Numbeo Crime Index by Country 2022, which surveyed 142 nations – Qatar’s crime index is 13.78 and safety index 86.22.
The crime index is the overall degree of crime and the safety index is the general safety levels – these two are approximate calculations.
Numbeo includes information on living conditions, cost of living, housing indicators, healthcare, traffic, and pollution – a recent survey concluded that the top 10 rankings include Qatar, UAE, Taiwan, Isle of Man, Oman, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Japan, Armenia, and Slovenia. Venezuela had the highest crime index rate at 83.58 and lowest safety index at 16.42, ranking as the least safe country.
Doha, ranked as the second safest city, has a crime index of 11.86 and a safety index of 86.17, just behind Abu Dhabi with 11.86 and 88.14. The other cities in the top 10 include San Sebastian (Spain), Sharjah (UAE), Taipei (Taiwan), Quebec City (Canada), Funchal (Portugal), Dubai (UAE), Zurich (Switzerland), and Munich (Germany).
Out of the 459 cities surveyed, Venezuela’s capital, Caracas, was the least safe city in the world.
Qatar is ranked third for the quality of life index in the Arab world, sitting behind Oman and UAE. However, Qatar ranked 27th globally – with Switzerland having the highest entries for the best quality of life index. Qatar is ranked first for health in the Arab world and 18th globally.
