Qatar tourism announces Eid events: Daily fireworks on Corniche, concerts, carnivals & more
If you are a person who enjoys fun events and activities with the family, then a huge load of events are headed your way.
Qatar Tourism, in partnership with Qatar Airways, has announced a slew of exciting, family-friendly events to mark the joyous occasion of Eid, as part of its ‘Feel Eid in Qatar’ campaign (April 21 to 23).
From exciting music concerts involving the region’s most respected artists to fun-filled children’s shows and daily fireworks at the Doha Corniche, there is something for everyone in the family to enjoy.
Commenting on the line-up of Eid festivities, Qatar Tourism’s Head of Marketing and Planning Sheikha Hessa Al Thani said: “Following the triumphant success of our ‘Feel Winter in Qatar’ campaign, Qatar’s tourism sector has seen an incredible start to the year and we’re delighted to maintain this positive momentum with our exciting programme of activity for Eid 2023 celebrations. We invite our residents to enjoy the festivities taking place in the country and regional neighbours to visit and feel the true spirit of Eid in Qatar this year.”
Here is a look at some of the activities that will be on offer in Qatar this Eid.
Mega Park Carnival
Date: April 16 to 30
Location: Al Bidda Park
Time: 7pm to 12 midnight (Ramadan nights); 4pm to 1am (Eid days)
The first-of-its-kind event in Qatar will be located at the Al Bidda Park across a 22,000 square metre area. In addition to giant balloons scattered throughout the garden, there will be a games area, restaurants and a dedicated Mega Park Theatre where many entertainment shows will be on offer. More than 100,000 visitors are expected to attend the 15-day event.
Katara’s Eid Al Fitr Celebrations
Date: April 21 to 23
Location: Katara Cultural Village
Over the years, Katara’s Eid Al Fitr celebrations have been celebrated in grand style, with thousands of people flocking to the panoramic seafront. From artistic performances to water sports and little games, there will be something for everyone.
Mall Roaming Shows
Date: April 21 to 23
Location: multiple venues
There will be lots of colours on show and there will be much fun and laughter to be had as performers from different parts of the world parade across different malls in Qatar. Don’t miss the spectacle.
Eid Al Fitr celebrations on The Pearl Island
Date: April 21 to 29
Location: The Pearl Qatar
After winding up The Pearl Ramadan Bazaar on April 21, the island is set to host a lot of festive cultural events. The whole area will be a riot of colours as it prepares to welcome the public for some memorable evenings.
Daily Spectacular Fireworks show
Date: April 21 to 23
Location: Doha Corniche
Time: 9pm
Throughout the weekend, from 9pm, the skies of Doha will light up with a dazzling array of firework in different colours. The spectacular fireworks show along the Doha Corniche will be one worth remembering.
Asian Town Sports Carnival
Date: April 21 to 23
Location: Asian Town Amphitheatre
The event will feature plenty of sports activities and games as well as cultural programmes featuring regional stars.
Shaun The Sheep Live Show
Date: April 22 to 25
Location: Lusail Multipurpose Hall

Get ready for a hilarious laughter fest as the much-loved children’s cartoon character heads to the Lusail Multipurpose Hall for a live show.
Tamer Hosny and DJ Rodje Live Performance
Date: April 22
Location: Al Mayassa Theatre, QNCC
Time: 9pm onwards (doors open at 8pm)

Tamer Hosny will perform his medley of much-loved hits. Paired with the electrifying DJ Rouge, the night is set to enthral local audiences with bespoke sets and energising live music.
Najwa Karam and Marwan Khoury Concert
Date: April 23
Location: Al Mayassa Theatre, QNCC
Time: 9pm (doors open at 8pm)

Iconic Lebanese singers Marwan Khoury and Najwa Karam will belt out their best hits, at the same time celebrating their country’s significant contributions to regional music.
Fahad Al Kubaisi, Balqees and Hams Concert
Date: April 24
Location: Al Mayassa Theatre, QNCC
Time: 9pm (doors open at 8pm)

The final day will bring with it a lively celebration of Khaliji music. A trio of singers — Qatar’s Fahad Al Kubaisi, Saudi Idol winner Hames and Emirati singer Balqees — will perform their hits live to audiences.
Moscow Ballet La Classique - Sleeping Beauty
Date: April 28 and 29
Location: Al Mayassa Theatre, QNCC
La Classique, founded in 1990, will thrill people with its ballet mastery, lavish costumes and magnificent stage sets as it takes us on a mystical journey to the fairytale world of Princess Aurora, the sleeping beauty.
Lusail Winter Wonderland
Date: April 21 to 28
Location: Al Maha Island
Time: 4pm to 11pm (Sunday to Wednesday), 4pm to 1am (Thursday to Saturday)
Located in the heart of Qatar’s entertainment hub — Al Maha Island — the Lusail Winter Wonderland boasts of over 50 rides and attractions, delicious food and drinks and live entertainment.
Fashion Future & Technology Expo
Date: April 30 to May 2
Location: Msheireb Museums
Time: 10.30am onwards

Through collaborative discussions and workshops, the Expo will discuss and debate on a wide array of issues including Blockchain, government regulation, financing and investment, Metaverse, NFTs, Web 3 and future fashion to name a few.
Beirut and the Golden Sixties: A manifesto of fragility

Beirut and the Golden Sixties — through paintings, sculptures, multimedia works and archival materials — examines a romanticised era of global influence in Lebanon’s capital. It highlights how collisions between art, culture and polarised political ideologies turned the Beirut art scene into a microcosm of larger regional tensions.
Aquasports Eid Festival
Date: April 16 to 30
Location: Purple Island, Al Khor

Kayaking along the mangroves at the Purple Island is a mesmerising experience. One can row slowly through an area with some of the most beautiful eco-tourism attractions in the country. If you do not know kayaking, do not fret, it is fairly easy and safe to learn.
WOW Park

Location: Lusail Boulevard
Time: 4pm to 2am (Ramadan timings)
The WOW Park at Lusail Boulevard offers children a wide variety of fun options to make memories.
