Qatar Vaccination Center in Bu Garn administers over 100,000 vaccine doses
Since its opening on 9 January 2022, The Qatar Vaccination Center for Business and Industry Sector in Bu Garn has administered more than 100,000 Covid-19 vaccine doses to key business and industry workers.
Although booster doses make up for most vaccines administered, first and second doses will apply to eligible people, said Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC).
It also said that “Businesses are encouraged to contact the Unit and schedule vaccination appointments for their eligible staff by emailing QVC@hamad.qa.”
The center is part of a framework that improves and increases the overall capacity of the National COVID-19 Vaccination Program by administering vaccine doses to 10,000 people on the first working day.
The center is open from Sunday to Thursday between 7 a.m and 5 p.m employing about 500 employees, including 400 medical staff, with 280 vaccination places all running simultaneously.
The combined efforts of the Ministry of Public Health and HMC, support from the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and ConocoPhillips - Qatar helped establish this center.
