Qatar Vaccination Center for business and industry sector, which is considered as one of the largest vaccination centers in the world, will reopen today, July 12, after undergoing renovations.
The 300,000-square meters center, which opened its doors in late June consists of over 300 vaccination stations and is supported by 700 staff.
According to Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), the center sees up to 25,000 individuals each day.

The Ministry highlighted that the recent renovations made over the weekend will allow the center to function at an enhanced capacity and accommodate a larger number of people.
In order to “ensure public safety and optimal operation of the center, individuals who arrive walking or riding bikes will not be permitted entry into the center and its parking ground,” MoPH specified in a tweet.
All companies must make arrangements for their employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 through the vaccination schedule unit, by sending an email to QVC@hamad.qa, the Ministry stressed.
Earlier, when the center was established, Her Excellency Qatar's Minister of Public Health Dr Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari had underlined that the opening of this new vaccination center highlights Qatar’s commitment to continuing the fast roll-out of the National COVID-19 Vaccination Program, which has seen a noticeable increase in the number of vaccinated people.
As Qatar makes impressive strides in its fight against COVID-19, the country entered the third phase of the easing of COVID-19 restrictions on July 9, 2021.
Recently, Qatar's efforts in tackling the COVID-19 pandemic were also recognized by the German magazine "Der Spiegel." The magazine had presented a ranking of the countries that responded best to the coronavirus outbreak. Qatar was placed on the 15th spot and was the only Arab country to be featured in the rankings.
