Qatar's Amir appoints first Ambassador to UAE in 6-years
In a major diplomatic milestone, Qatar's Amir His Highness (HH) Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani names Dr. Sultan Salmeen Saeed Al Mansouri as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Arab Emirates, coming six years after the UAE broke off all ties with Qatar during the 2017 GCC crisis.
In a tweet released by the Amiri Diwan it was stated, “His Highness Emir Al-Moufdi issues Emiri Resolution No. (57) of 2023 appointing Dr. Sultan Salmeen Saeed Al-Mansoori as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Arab Emirates.”
