Qatar's coldest days of the year are here
Qatar has experienced refreshing weather in recent weeks. Between cloudy shade and intermittent rain, the yearly cool weather comes as a welcome.
The weather could get a lot colder from here until the end of January as Bard Al Azariq, the coldest days of the year begins. According to Qatar Calendar House, the extremely cold days will last for the next seven days (until January 31).
On Tuesday, Shehaimiya, Ghuwayriyah and Al Khor recorded the day’s lowest temperature — 13°C. Several places saw the temperatures climb to 23°C.

In past times, the season was described Al Azariq/Azraq (Arabic for ‘blue’) to describe how the cold could affect faces and arms.
Cold spells in the country during the last few weeks saw temperatures drop to as low as 12°C at night and 18°C during the day. A further drop in temperature can now be expected.
Rains were reported in different parts of Qatar and could become more widespread in the coming days.
Qatar’s weather department said misty to foggy conditions could prevail in Qatar on Wednesday. It could be partly cloudy with a chance for thundery rain.
