The MoPH called on consumers to return the products with those expiration dates either to the outlet or destroy them completely.
The MoPH, in cooperation with Qatar’s Ministry of Commerce & Industry, has also taken other precautionary measures including informing all suppliers and consumer associations to stop marketing the product and withdraw it immediately from the market.
As an additional precautionary measure, the Ministry has also directed its inspectors to verify that relevant shops are free of the product.
Salmonella is a pathogenic bacteria that causes food poisoning and severe abdominal pain in addition to diarrhoea and nausea.
