QC reaches over 8,000 flood victims with aid in Yemen
In a contributed show of support for Yemen's Flood-stricken communities, Qatar Charity (QC) has delivered crucial food and shelter aid to 8,050 individuals in the Marib ad Hodeidah governorates. This latest distribution, done in partnership with the Humanitarian Development Programme included 1,150 food packages filled with essential supplies and 1,150 shelter kits equipped with blankets, mattresses cooking utensils, and solar-powered lamps.
QC's ongoing campaign seeks to rally more support for relief efforts amid extensive damage in the affected regions. Future initiatives will prioritize delivering additional food, shelter, hygiene materials and clean water.
The charity also plans to launch recovery projects to supply medical equipment to damaged health facilities and combat post-flood epidemics. The projects will include water and sanitation initiatives, repairs to homes, economic empowerment projects, and heath facility rehabilitation.
With over 34,000 households impacted, thousands displaced and widespread destruction of homes, wells and infrastructure, QC has called on Qatar's citizens to continue their support for the 'Aid for flood victims' campaign. Donations can be made through the Qatar Charity Website and app.
