QM announces complimentary Culture Pass membership for healthcare workers

By QLNews

Qatar Museums (QM) has reopened several of its museums and restaurants to the wider community from May 28, in accordance with the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH).

The reopening aligns with the Ministry’s resumption of public activity in Qatar, based on milestones reached in controlling the COVID-19 pandemic.

QM announced that it is offering complimentary Culture Pass Plus membership to healthcare workers in Qatar as a show of appreciation and gratitude for their hard work and dedication during the COVID-19 pandemic.

All staff from Hamad Medical Center (HMC), the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC), and the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) are eligible to obtain a complimentary membership card from the National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ) gift shops by presenting their staff ID, QM said in a statement.

CEO of Qatar Museums Ahmad Musa Al Namla said that healthcare workers in Qatar have been pivotal in assisting the country to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their selfless dedication and care have ensured that those affected by the illness received adequate, and often, life-saving care.

"Qatar Museums would like to extend complimentary Culture Pass Plus membership to healthcare professionals at HMC, PHCC, and MoPH as a show of our appreciation for their tireless commitment to ensuring the health and well-being of citizens and residents in Qatar.

As Culture Pass members, healthcare professionals can avail a host of benefits and discounts for an array of culturally enriching experiences in Qatar," Al Namla said.

With a Culture Pass Plus membership, eligible healthcare professionals can take advantage of free entry to museums, galleries, and temporary exhibitions, including the NMOQ, Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, Alriwaq Gallery, and the Fire Station: Artist in Residence.

Culture Pass Plus members also enjoy a 25% discount at NMoQ, and Mathaf gift shops, Cass Art Qatar, and the IN-Q online store as well as 25% off when dining at Jiwan and 15% off at Cafe 999 and MIA Park Kiosks.

A 10% discount is also offered for Doha Film Institute (DFI) masterclasses and film screenings. Members also enjoy year-long access to Culture Pass tours, workshops, and talks.
