QT Vision : Elevate tourism and achieve 6 million visitors by 2030
Saad bin Ali bin Saad Al Kharji, Chairman of Qatar Tourism (QT), expressed that Qatar has successfully enhanced tourism domestically and internationally. This achievement stems from strategic investments in natural resources, upgrading tourist infrastructure and collaborating with various sectors.
Highlighting Qatar's diverse attractions, Al Kharji emphasized the commitment to achieve the national strategy's goals, aiming to elevate tourism's contribution to GDP, increase employment in the hotel sector, and position Qatar as a prominent tourist destination in the Middle East by 2030.
He mentioned recent milestones, such as breaking visitor records during the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023, Al Kharji discussed the National Development Strategy 2024-2030, aligning with Qatar National Vision 2030, emphasizing tourism as a key element for sustainable economic growth.
Looking ahead, Al Kharji outlined upcoming initiatives, including the development of tourism and sports, MICE sector enhancement, targeted market programs, trade activity reinforcement, and initiatives to capitalize on Qatari talents. He highlighted major events and emphasized QT's dedication to optimizing regulatory frameworks and global promotion for tourist investment attractions.
