As the 2024-25 academic year approaches, private schools and kindergartens across the country are finalizing preparations to welcome students back to a well-maintained and healthy learning environment. With 349 private institutions set to open their doors to 237,931 students, schools are ensuring smooth operations by focusing on critical infrastructure improvements, hiring new teachers and enhancing educational systems.

Key upgrades include the maintenance of air conditioning, safety and security systems, lighting and thorough cleaning and disinfection of facilities. In some schools, news staff have been hired to meet increased demand, while others have introduced upgraded educational systems to ensure a high-quality learning experience.

Pakistan International School Qatar (PISQ) for example, has been actively preparing since August 1, with teachers scheduled to return on August 25 for orientation and professional development. Principal Syed Asif Ali Shah highlighted significant efforts to enhance the school's environment, including new uniforms, printed notebooks, and ongoing campus renovations aimed at improving student comfort and convenience.

Retail outlets across Qatar have also launched their 'back-to-school' campaigns offering discounts and sales on school supplies. Malls and hypermarkets like Carrefour, Centerpoint, and LULU are leading the charge, providing essential educational equipment and accessories for the new school year.

As the students prepare to return, experts advise parents to help their children transition smoothly from vacation mode to the structured school routine by reestablishing schedules early and addressing any health concerns that may arise after the long break.

With the new academic year set to begin on September 1, schools are eagerly anticipating the arrival of students, ready to provide a safe, supportive and enriching environment for their educational journey.
