Roblox unveils 'Qatar Adventure' celebrating Qatar World Cup anniversary
In celebration of the Qatar World Cup 2022 anniversary and National Day, Roblox users can now embark on a virtual journey through 'Qatar Adventure', a vivid depiction of Qatari culture and landmarks within the metaverse.
Accessible at no cost through Roblox's Livetopia until February 8, 2024, this Initiative, a collaboration between Q Life, an entity under Qatar's International Media Office (IMO), and Century Games, aims to spotlight Qatar's diverse offerings in sports, arts, and culture to a global audience.
At the heart of this virtual world stands a replica of the renowned Lusail Stadium , the historic site of the Qatar World Cup 2022 finals. Users can journey across the stadium, adorned in a 'bisht', the traditional attire famously worn by Lionel Messi as he hosted the World Cup trophy for Argentina.
Next to the the stadium, is the Katara Towers, reflecting Qatar's national emblem, invite virtual exploration. Visitors can walk through lavish suites, a museum, and a clothing store featuring traditional Qatari attire.
Engaging mini-games, such as a pearl-diving challenge among Qatar's annual congregation of whale sharks, a slacklime walk between towers, and a scavenger hunt for the 'dallah' (a traditional Qatari coffee pot), enhancing the immersive experience. Water activities like jet-skiing, parasailing, and water-propelled jet packing also await users.
