Several Qatar-based firms ranked among the best workplaces in Asia
Qatar-based companies have been working hard to make their workspaces more friendly and welcoming. Great Places to Work Middle East chose several Qatar-based companies in its list of 200 best places to work in Asia.
The 2024 Best Workplaces in Asia list has identified the top 30 multinational, top 100 small and Medium, and top 70 large organisations in the continent.
Al Mana Restaurants & Food Co, which operates the McDonald's franchisee in Qatar, finished second overall in the 70 Best Large Workplaces in Asia 2024 list.
Doha Drug Store was the highest-ranked Qatari company (10th) in the 100 Best Small & Medium Workplaces in Asia 2024 list. While GAC Qatar finished 26th, Cluster Security Services (40) and Zulal Wellness Resort (59) finished next.
“In recent years, the number of companies in Qatar being recognized on the Best Workplaces in Asia list has been steadily increasing. This trend demonstrates the commitment of Qatari companies to creating a positive work environment for their employees,” Jules Youssef, Managing Director of Qatar, Oman, and Kuwait, Great Place to Work Middle East, was quoted as saying by The Peninsula.
As per sources, the ranking is based on ‘confidential survey data,’ with more than 2.7m responses from employees representing the experiences of approximately 6.9m workers across the region.
Yousef said the recognition not only enhances the reputation of these companies on a global scale, but also attracts top talent to the local market.
“As more companies prioritise employee welfare and satisfaction, this positive impact contributes to the overall growth and competitiveness of the local market in Qatar,” he said.
