Sri Lanka Medical Drive 2022 – Urgent Crisis
Sri Lanka is currently at a severe social and economic crisis which has impacted the lives of many civilians. Many families are without the basic needs at the present situation and with a primary need being the supply of lifesaving medical equipment and medicines.
Sri Lankan Women’s Association of Qatar (SLWAQ), affiliated under the Embassy of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Doha, Qatar has approached the relevant authorities in charge of delegation and distribution of medical supplies to Sri Lanka and is currently working on the protocols to send the required supplies.
SLWAQ has identified Negombo District General Hospital (DGH) as their first point of support and received an official letter from the Suraksha Children Center (Children’s Ward) at DGH Negombo with their current need of medications.
