talabat facilitates donations to support Qatar Red Crescent’s ‘For You Palestine’ campaign
Following the recent tragic events unfolding in the region, talabat is supporting the people in Gaza through app donations, including urgent relief, food parcels and home restoration projects [License: LC2023QRCR09-00001].
As part of its commitment to utilizing its tech for good, talabat collaborated with its trusted and licensed local charity partner — Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) — to enable customers to safely and securely donate on the app.
How to donate to QRCS through talabat
Step 1: Click on the ‘Charity’ option under ‘Shortcuts’ on the homepage
Step 2: Select Qatar Red Crescent (QRCS) from the list
Step 3: Add a menu item of your choosing and then pay at checkout
Additionally, talabat donated more than €500,000 to its long-standing global partner — the UN World Food Programme (UN WFP) — to support its humanitarian relief efforts for those affected in Palestine.
WFP is the world’s largest humanitarian organization whose operations aim to provide a lifeline through food assistance and development, to build a pathway to peace, stability and prosperity, for people affected by conflict, disasters and the impact of climate change.
WFP is a Nobel Peace Prize-winning organization that has been operating in the region since 1991 and is committed to deliver humanitarian aid to vulnerable communities through their on-ground operations and local implementing partners.
As talabat, we put food and more on the table for everyone in MENA. However, in the current circumstances, talabat is supporting the UN WFP as a key organization able to provide a food lifeline to those who need it most.
