Qatar Foundation’s annual Aljam’a event dedicated to celebrating Education City students – and their achievements – will return this week.

Open to the whole community, the three-day event will run from 3pm-8pm every day from 11-13 May at Multaqa (Education City Student Center).

Themed around the four key areas of a market, carnival, showcases, and workshops, Aljam’a offers visitors the opportunity to participate in activities and workshops, interact with peers and colleagues, and learn more about Qatar Foundation’s (QF) vibrant education ecosystem.

Dr. Mohammad Shaheen Al Kuwari, Director of Student Life at QF’s Higher Education division, said: “Aljam’a provides a platform for our students and alumni – and those who support them – to meet in a relaxed environment and share their experiences as part of QF’s diverse educational ecosystem.

“The learning opportunities available to students across QF enable them to connect with each other and use resources in ways that would not normally be possible, and Aljam’a is a celebration of this.”

Held during the same week as QF’s Convocation ceremony – an annual event that brings together students, graduates, alumni, faculty, and staff from QF’s Hamad Bin Khalifa University and partner universities to celebrate the latest batch of QF graduates, at Qatar National Convention Centre – Aljam’a is a continuation of a pivotal moment in students’ lives in a fun and informal setting.

Members of the community can tune into Convocation from 6.40 pm on Wednesday, 10 May, here.
