Numerical weather forecasting models have indicated the likelihood of cloud formations and rainfall, potentially accompanied by thunder, towards the end of the current week in Qatar. The Qatar Meteorology Department shared this information via social media, accompanied by a weather map depicting the predicted rain clouds expected on March 9, 2024.

In its statement, the Qatar Meteorology Department highlighted, "According to the latest update of the numerical forecast model, there are initial indications at the end of next week of a weather condition that may lead to the formation of clouds and rain, maybe thundery at times."

Additionally, the department's weather report for the day, until 6 pm, noted that moderate temperatures are expected during the daytime, with cloudy conditions persisting and colder temperatures anticipated at night. The wind is forecasted to be Northwesterly-Northeasterly, light to moderate in speed.

This prediction serves as a precautionary measure for residents and authorities to prepare for potential weather-related disruptions and to take necessary safety precautions during the forecasted period of rain and thunderstorms.
