Travel and Return Policies Updated by MoPH

The Ministry of Public Health has updated the country lists on the 28th of December based on Covid-19 risks and the Travel and Return Policy. The updates will come into effect at 7 pm on January 1, 2022.
The new High-Risk List is smaller, with seven countries, including Sri Lanka, the Philippines and Sudan shifted to the Red List. The High Risk List or Exceptional Red List Countries are now Bangladesh, Egypt, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia and Zimbabwe.
The Red List now gets longer with 47 countries whereas the previous number was 23. This includes countries like the US, the UK, the UAE, South Africa, Switzerland, France, and Italy.
The Green List has now only 159 countries, which was previously 175. The countries that appear on the list include Australia, Austria, Brazil, China, Cuba, Greece, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Morocco, New Zealand, Peru, Portugal, Russia, South Korea, Turkey, and Yemen.
