Qatari climber Fahad Badar reaches peak of Switzerland's Matterhorn mountain

By QLNews

Qatari climber, Fahad Badar's latest quest for adventure took him to the peak of the famed Matterhorn mountain, located on the Swiss-Italian border.

The distinct pyramidal shape of this almost 15,000 ft tall mountain makes it one of the most technically challenging mountains to scale.

Although not the highest peak in the Alps, the mountain's fame comes from its impossible shape and distinctive landform. Its four steep faces rise above the nearby glaciers and face the four compass points: north, south, east, and west.

A few days before scaling the Matterhorn peak, Badar reached the summit of the Mont Blanc mountain, the highest peak in France and the Alps.

Earlier this year, the Qatari thrillseeker made history by becoming the first Arab to scale Mount Everest and Mount Lhotse during the same expedition.

According to plans Badar has shared on his website, the passionate high-altitude explorer has set his vision to conquering more mountains in different continents across the globe.
