The problem is that some of us devote too much time on religion, as if our own religion was the universal truth and not enough time on life on earth ;)

if he/she did mistake or annoyed you one time two times three times but if he/she always annoy you on a daily basis and this is part of their belief then how can we forgive and not hate?

Nic if some one curse your father or mother everyday would you like this person or forgive him/her?

You might speak with him/her first and if this talk did not work out and you brought other people and it did not work also, I am sure you will not like this person especially if your father or mother did not do anything bad.

Shiites are putting a partner for God and this partner is Ali (God bliss him), when there is a problem they say Oh Ali God bliss him), but we as sunni Muslims say Oh God.

In Islam one of the most important principles and beliefs is to believe in one God and ask the help from him first without putting any partner.

Then after asking the help from God you can go and speak to a person to help you when you are stuck in a certain problem.

Answering gensis question, the killing threats should not be there when some expresses his/her opinion.

Thanks for the poster of this thread.

I can`t believe that some people still believe anything written in the newspaper. It is an obvious try to advertise for the writer and for the newspaper. It is just news to add some spices to the newspaper. Logically if the were honest, why don't they these emails that she received.

By the way I can send myself many emails threatening myself to be killed or whats so ever.

Guys widen the window which you look through at the world and don't believe what ever you hear or sea. Just try to think whose benefiting and then you might be able to realize that you are in one huge circle of media control around the world.

((what ever happened to you was not meant to miss, and what ever missed you was not meant to happen to you.))

We are talking about the writer ‘Samar al megren’…

Not aabout IRAN!

You are repeating what all 'Al Arifi' supporters said & wrote in the past few days

Do I understand from your 'bypassing' for my question That you (like many others) think that she deserve all the threats she gets now for expressing her opinion?

By Nic• 8 years 9 months ago.

Straight Arrow,

Sorry to jump in but your argument sounds that it comes from a radical position :(

Hate and revenge is never healthy nor embraced by any religion, instead tolerance and forgiveness is highly prescribed by all religions!

Am I wrong?

Long live Al Arifi

See if you are really honest mintion how come Shiites say bad things about our prophet Mohammed PBUH friends and wives?

Say also why the sunni people in Iran takes the worest jobs and receives the worest treatment?

Why Shiites make pelmirage every year in Iran around the grave of who killed Omer (one of the closest friends to our prophet Mohammed PBUH)?

I have many other questions but I guess this is enough.

The issue here is not about Iran or Yemen.

We’re talking about the woman who got death threats for expressing her opinion. How come, you didn’t comment on that?

Is it very difficult for you guys to just admit that what Al Arifi did was wrong

Remember, Unlike Shiites. We’re suppose to not Sanctify scholars ;)

By Straight Arrow• 8 years 9 months ago.
Straight Arrow

Do you have an idea on how sunni suffers in Iran?

As you know the war in Yemen is between Yemen and hoothi groups, hoothi entered Saudi borders and Saudi started fighting them and securing Saudi costs, and suddenly the Iranian govournment blamed Saudi fighting the hoothi groups, Saudi Arabia has the right to defend their borders, and what happens now in Yemen in my opinion is indirect war between Yemen and Iran.

Iran or any country should not interfere in any country when this country is defendind its border and people.

Whether you treat shiites good has nothing to do with what you think about them. You treat cristians good but you know that they are non muslims and that the same thing you feel for shiites. right?

We are not talking about how you see shiites. We are focusing on how sheikh Al Arifi (that you support?) is accusing a part of muslim as by infidelity which puts them on equal terms with cristians in his POV.

By genesis• 8 years 9 months ago.
genesis

As you’re much aware, most of the Saudi scholars ( who al Arifi represent) doesn’t agree on Al Qaradwi views in many issues. And they have always condemn him for calls to coexist

I think you put all the people in one basket.

Always choose the good and stay away from the bad, see we are tought to look for the good which does not contradict with our beliefs where ever it is.

Those who to know about the differences between shiites and sunni can go to the net.

I personally will never ever treat a shiites person badly but I will be very good to him.

Genesis : "He might be the “best” among his supporters. But he’s certainly intolerant to others"

Thats why he has too much supporters because he is an intolerant extremist. Do moderate muslim leaders have supporters as much as the extremists one have?

The answer is : NO

By genesis• 8 years 9 months ago.

it's worth mentioning that Shiites are not any different( with The killing of innocent in Iraq & the Iranian Regime). Many of their Leaders have name called many Sunni religious symbols. Yet, there are many among them who calls for coexist & reforms

Why fight hate with more hate? Specially since the Shiites are a minority in both Saudi & Qatar.

He might be the “best” among his supporters. But he’s certainly intolerant to others

Maybe you should share the link when he ridiculed the entire Christian faith just because an Arab Christian caller named George on QTV asked him innocently “why do Muslims wash after intercourse?”

Have you seen his sermon? Why do he need to preach his own political agenda to the mass? Why ‘name-call’ sistani although it’s a well known fact he’s considered a leader to all Shiites?

One of the things that makes me uncomfortable in this part of the world is the frequent use of words like:

- kill

- destroy

- hate

- non-believers

- death threats

- punishment

- doctrine

... seriously, never before living in this region, I have heard so often in daily routine issues these words!!!

Shiekh Al Arifi is one of the best Muslim schoolars and has made a history by the number of his supporters and he is one of the best schoolars when it comes about adivce on living and studying in the west countries, please look at the youtube for Al Arifi lectures and you can see some subtitled lectures.

He is a person who tells us to be nice with western and unfortunately the Muslim people who hates the westerns hates Al Arifi and want to destroy his image.

Believe or not many westerns like to hear lectures by Al Arifi.

I personally like him.

please look at his lectures (some may not like some lectures, so look at the other lectures) and by the way the lectures are subtitled and here is the link

I wish for every one here in QL many many good happy days which are full of peace and joy and welth.

In my opinion there are two enormous taboos in the Muslim world that are causing a lot blood spilling and are left unattended by the Muslim leaders:

- Peace and Harmony treats between Sunni and Shiites;

- Acknowledgement of the misuse of certain passages of the Qur’an that when taken out of context (often done by ignorant and terrorists) can incite aggression against non-Muslims.

The Muslim world appears to be insecure and/or afraid to deal with these issues in an open and transparent manner. Not only this is causing the majority of the problems in the Muslim world (apart form the occupation of Palestine, which could be eased if we had peace and harmony in the Muslim world) but also it gives a terrible image to the world. Trying to hide or cover root causes of well known problems does not project a very good image and the world does not appreciate or respect this hypocritical position. On the other hand if these problems would be dealt in a transparent and open matter, the rest of the world would develop great admiration and would join in the process of helping to achieve peace!

The sad report of this post, in unfortunately just another victim of the real Muslim world status!

It’s even worst!

I Was shocked by the number of Al Arifi supporters Among Qataris!!!

Well, to be honest. Being A Sunni myself, I know that the Sunni- Shiites issue is a touchy subject. Shiites Qataris are our neighbors, colleagues & friends for ages. Not to mention, they represent around 10% of the whole Qatari population.

Why All this hate over a friday prayer preach from a wahhabi fascist like Al Arifi?
