Amnesty, unmarried mums N cheating bf,s

By Good old joe

Four mums who handed themselves and their children in during a immigration amnesty have been jailed because the kids were conceived out of wedlock.

The children - Princess, Angel, Sofia and Angel-Joy - were all born to women living illegally in a house in the UAE

The court heard yesterday that the women had absconded from their sponsors and got pregnant by boyfriends who fled when they discovered they were expecting.

The women continued to stay illegally with the kids, who are now aged between one and two, working part-time to survive.

When a two-month amnesty was launched in December, the women handed themselves in together and asked to be deported with their children.

that people who do not care about family members who do not care about their family reputation are careless people and careless people are not suitable for raising a good family.

families can be classified into two main catogeries:

1. Good family which are helping their country and them selves and the outcome from these families are positive people.

2. Bad families where the outcome from these families most of the time will be negative people, and very little times the outome is positive because some of these children who are raised in these negative families will compare them selves to those who are in better families and will ask why are we like this and will change them selves to become better persons.

Straight Arrow..neither death punishment or separating the children from the mother is merciful. FORGIVENESS is merciful. Please dont talk as if you never make mistakes in your life just because your mistakes no one can see them. We are human beings and are bound to be at fault. I dont support how they brought about the children but i dont doubt they love them anyless.

I dont support sex out of wedlock, however SA people learn from their bad choice and its unfortunate that some learn with physical consequences like children.

I don't know why I'm bothering, but here we go.

I don't care about my families reputation SA, I care about their happiness, not their reputation.

Just because I choose to live someplace doesn't mean I have to respect anything. I do not respect most of the laws of the UAE or why they were put in place. I consider many to be against basic human rights.

death punishment or separation of these women and their babies.

If the death penalty is applied then you end all the chances for this women to come back on the right track.

I am sure when these house maids go back to their countries they will transfer the message:

In fact I was doing some research about such children(born out of wedlock)cos it is a matter so important to my family, and I found out that even according to the shariah law the children of the bed as they are known are always to be legally considered their mother's. Hence what this court is doing, by taking away the child from his mother, is actually against even the Shariah laws itself though of course I have no clue what kinda country laws prevail there.

My question is why separate them? What do you wish to achieve by doing so? What great justice will come about by this action?

But women are just as likely as men to not only have sexual encounters for fun, but also forget all of em. Not all women are as emotional as men assume them to be!

The problem is many men think they can sow their wild oats so to speak and get married to some goody miss two shoes, but many times such men end up with those ladies who Kareena described, the ones who have all the fun and then go get their hymen fixed.

The fact is there is no one rule for her and one rule for him rule in the matter of sex out of wedlock, be it in a religious sense or otherwise!

even in Europe!!

As one spanish girl asked me and my Russian friend a question and I was shocked but he answered her immediately.

She asked why do men prefer virgin girl and the girl do not care if the man is virgin or not?

He answered her:

The man normally forgets the first relation easily but the woman never forgets the first relation and she will always remember it.

I believe a man would not like a girl or a woman who always remember her first love.

Also we can see that a virgin woman when dedicate her self to her husband more compared to that who is not virgin, i.e. the non virgin will try but remembering the first lover might destroy her attempts because she will tend to compare.

I must disagree there. Top of the mind I know at least 3 ladies, very very close friends of mine, who married past 25 years of age, but remained virgins until then because of religious reasons, and I also happen to know some ladies who remained virgins till they married for cultural reasons too. The matter of remaining a virgin till marriage, and who decides to have sex out of wedlock is still very much a personal preference, where some chose the former and some chose the latter for various reasons. and though I agree the former is now quite rare it still is existent.

By Kareena74• 8 years 5 months ago.
Kareena74

Sorry for the delay in response as I was quite busy durinng the weekend and didn't get to QL at all. To answer your question, I would not mind what my child does once he or she crosses 18. Once they are adults, it is their life and they are responsible for their actions. As far as sex out of wedlock is concerned, come on this is the 21st century, who waits till you get married? Unless you get married at 18.. Personally speaking you won't find a virgin guy over the age of 20 and a virgin girl over the age of 25.. Beyond that no one waits anymore.. No matter which country or relgion you follow.. So please SA wake up to the reality of life..

1. The maid who did not respect the family she is working deserve some punishment

2. The level of punishment should be strong enough to stop other maids from doing the same

By Straight Arrow• 8 years 5 months ago.

Yes mistakes do happen but the level of mistakes differs and what these maids do affect the family reputation negatively and. What these maids do is also rediculous and shows that these maids have no respect to the families they are working for.

I did not mention all western women are like that but during my voluntary journey people I met were those who had problems in their life and there was no one to support them. The stories they told me was what happened in their real life.

As long as Western Women is concerned personally in my life after my mom , the women I respect more is a Western. In my communication circle I have at least 12 western friends and they shared their stories with me.

I have friend whose sister was very introvert..she went to a bar once and after few day suddenly she came to her mom and told that she is pregnant. Her son K*( I dont wanna disclose his name) still dont know what is his father's name or where he is. Though she is working hard to give a comfortable life to K* but still he missed something in his life.

Another real story : my friend has a grand daughter whom she is not sure that G* is really her grand daughter as after a short period of time her son broke up with his girlfriend. Now she wants to use a solicitor and want to confirm whether she is her real grand daughter.

My colleague had four kids with three women...one from legal marriage and other three were accidents. He is divorced..kids are living with his mom (I mean grandma)..Though he is sending money every month and paying mortgage but still difficult for kids..cuz now their moms are married or in relationship with someone who is not their father...

Like in our countries we say "Stranger in my bed" there it is like "Stranger in their families"

One of the main reason behind all these bull5hit is having sex before marriage...

May be it is my bad luck that people I met so far told me their stories as such...may be my observation will change after my world trip.

I really dont have any problem if someone sleeps with someone before/after marriage but I have reservations if for the pleasure of few hours if someone's life (kids) is distracted or compromised.

P.S. I really dont care about what you think about me I can accept your views over media and but not for something I heard from someone who was involved directly.

that the kids are to be separated from their moms. The article says "The women’s children will stay with them behind bars. They will be deported after serving their sentences"

It also happens that some women have sex with a guy, get pregnant on purpose to hopefully get married. Most times that does not work out and the children suffer.

Knowing very well in advance the most likely outcome, they still try.....

Very sad for these women, especially seeing that men go unpunished as well, even worse for those innocent souls. However these women knew what they were doing in UAE. They know the strict lifestyle but stil went ahead and had sex out of wedlock. A price you pay for disobeyin the law. It will be merciful of UAE to overide the punishment, send them home and ban them from ever coming back however i wouldnt deem UAE as unfair.

All i feel sorry for is their kids who havent done anything wrong yet suffering because of the mother and father decision to engage in intercourse out of marriage knowing it might produce children

Majority of them divorced multiple times , broke up multiple times..Wt happens to their kids? some of them employed some of them still are enjoying their benefits.

For the same reason Churches also having awareness campaign not to have sex before marriage.

The issue is not so simple to solve, I believe. Birth certificates, passport, family back in home..etc.

Me too share your view GoJ..

rational thought, wisdom, goodness and a little common sense from the authorities can over come the rules.”

By Good old joe• 8 years 5 months ago.
Good old joe

To be fair the amnesty was for over staying not for sex out of wedlock.

However I hope that on humanitarian grounds these poor women and the children who did nothing wrong be given a pardon and just sent back to their country straight away without having to spend a single night in jail. In situations like these one hopes rational thought, wisdom, goodness and a little common sense from the authorities can over come the rules.”

By Miss Mimi• 8 years 5 months ago.
Miss Mimi

No they were Filipino, but you said "which embassy" and I answered.

The Philippines embassy should issue without the fathers name, after all their are plenty of kids born out of wedlock in the Philippines.

The issue is that you can't obtain a birth certificate without a marriage certificate in the UAE. No birth certificate means no passport.

By Learner77• 8 years 5 months ago.
Learner77

So MM do you think those maids were western?? I doubt...

By Miss Mimi• 8 years 5 months ago.
Miss Mimi

Most Western embassies don't require the name of the father. Just the name and nationality of the mother.

By Learner77• 8 years 5 months ago.
Learner77

If the mother wants to take their kids with them, they need a passport, right?? Which embassy is gonna give a passport without the name of the father?? Moreover who knows whether those maids don't have a family in their home country or not?

It's a complicated situation, I believe..

By deedee• 8 years 5 months ago.
deedee

it is a sin. But only god can judge SA and I think these mother's need to be with their children. Taking them away is another sin and I don't condone that either. Don't get so wrapped up in one sin that you turn a blind eye to another one.

SA, sex out of wedlock does not necessarily mean cheating on a partner. Sex out of wedlock means just that, having sex without being married.which in turn may very well mean being in a committed relationship, but not being married.

It does NOT mean cheating or one night stands.

By Kareena74• 8 years 5 months ago.
Kareena74

There is a difference between having sex when you are single with someone who you are not married to and cheating on hour spouse with someone else.. These women were single and had sex with someone and got knocked up. They were not cheating on anyone? I think as long as you have one partner at a time, there is nothing wrong in sex out of wedlock but once you are committed to someone, you should not cheat on that person. We are not talking about adultry here.. These women were not adultresses..

By Miss Mimi• 8 years 5 months ago.
Miss Mimi

How are you getting that conclusion? I don't care if my children have sex out of wedlock.

By Miss Mimi• 8 years 5 months ago.
Miss Mimi

WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH TAKING CHILDREN FROM THEIR MOTHERS?????

The women aren't prostitutes, they aren't married, they are UN-MARRIED mothers who are going to loose their children because of a technicality and a cruel system!!!

By Straight Arrow• 8 years 5 months ago.
Straight Arrow

and I have a conclusion that you do not accept them to have sex out of wedlock.

Thanks

By Straight Arrow• 8 years 5 months ago.

is mor disgusting when a woman sells her self for a stranger.

Miss Mimi I think the clean and pure woman will not allow her self to be a toy which can be tried or tested for by some people.

By Miss Mimi• 8 years 5 months ago.
Miss Mimi

Don't make assumptions SA. If my son or daughter was cheating on their spouse, I would urge them to tell their spouse as they are being dishonest, but, since they are adults and are running their own lives that is all I would do and I would still love them regardless.

Now can you please get back to the topic.

By Straight Arrow• 8 years 5 months ago.
Straight Arrow

every action has a reaction, I will assume Miss Mimi your answer is no, i.e. that you do not accept your grown up son or daughter who are married to have sex with a stranger while they are sill married.

By Straight Arrow• 8 years 5 months ago.
Straight Arrow

and you have proven that you belong to the party which thinks that marriage is just a peice of paper?

Does the 21st century means selling the morals, values, and living in garbage?

I belong to the party which that marriage is commitment to live for ever with the spouse and not only a piece of paper.

Kareena74 what does a family mean to you? Do you think a family with a healthy atmosphere is important?

By Miss Mimi• 8 years 5 months ago.
Miss Mimi

What does that have to do with women who aren't married having their babies taken from them SA?

By Straight Arrow• 8 years 5 months ago.
Straight Arrow

I have asked you if your sons and daughters grown up and get married would you accept if they have sex with other partent than their spouse?

By noufelkm• 8 years 5 months ago.

An orphanage can't give the love of mother.

By Miss Mimi• 8 years 5 months ago.
Miss Mimi

It's absolutely disgusting that they tear these children away from their mothers. It makes me so angry I can't even speak.

By Kareena74• 8 years 5 months ago.
Kareena74

A luxurious orphange can never replace a mother's love but still it is better than to throw those orphans on the streets. Here when a maid or any unmarried expat woman gets pregnant, they keep her "In Quarantine" (LOL) until she delivers then they just deport her back home and keep the baby in the "Five Star Orphange"..

By Kareena74• 8 years 5 months ago.
Kareena74

And you are still talking about sex out of wedlock??? There are so many more important and crucial issues in the world to worry about.

I don't believe that if a child is born out of wedlock, the mother would love him or her any less than if it were born to a married couple. What is marriage? A piece of paper, a signed document which a man can renounce anytime he wishes?

By fubar• 8 years 5 months ago.
fubar

Huh? I have no idea what you are asking me SA. Can you try re-phrasing the question please?

I sense that there is a perception that when parents aren't married, they don't love their kids, and when parents are married they do love their kids.

When we see stories of married men raping and killing the daughters, and stories about single mothers caring for their children, it would appear that such an assumption is a bit shallow.

By Miss Mimi• 8 years 5 months ago.
Miss Mimi

And since when did a "5 star" orphanage replace a mother's love? Should I go drop my son off at an orphanage because it might be nicer than my house?

By Miss Mimi• 8 years 5 months ago.
Miss Mimi

Of course. I would urge them to have other partners before marriage so they know what they're getting into before they get married.

By Straight Arrow• 8 years 5 months ago.
Straight Arrow

when you love some one truely you should think about the consequences right?

By Straight Arrow• 8 years 5 months ago.
Straight Arrow

when you say:

"And yes, I have no issue with sex our of wedlock whatsoevr."

I assume that you will accept it for your daughters and sons when they grow up right?

By fubar• 8 years 5 months ago.
fubar

I fail to see the link between whether parents are married or not, and whether children are loved or not.

It wasn't long ago that there were multiple threads about married people here in the Gulf abusing and ultimately killing and raping their children.

By Kareena74• 8 years 5 months ago.

A friend of a friend works with such an NGO, social work I mean and he told my friend that these children get Qatari citizenship as well as very good benifits. He said the orphanges have five start facilities and these children are sent to the best schools in town. Yeah Mimi, same thing here expats cannot adopt these kids, only the locals can but under the condition that they won't give their family name to the child and the child should be aware that he is not a member of that family and that he is an orphan. Also the adopted child won't be entitled to any inheritence whatsoever..

By Miss Mimi• 8 years 5 months ago.

It doesn't apply here Kareena. Orphans in the UAE are not given citizenship unless they are adopted by an Emirati family. To date they are not allowed to be adopted by expats. The orphanages are also definitely not 5 star, that's a laugh. They are given basic education, but with no citizenship there's not much you can do with that.

What utter nonsense SA. If these mothers didn't love their children they would have abandoned them or aborted them, they didn't though, they had them and have been raising them.

And yes, I have no issue with sex our of wedlock whatsoever.

By fubar• 8 years 5 months ago.

Kareena the kids you refer to don't get Qatari citizenship. they sometimes get Qatari travel documents, which are totally different.

It means they aren't eligible for any of the benefits that the government gives to Qatari citizens, and it also makes it very difficult for them to ever travel out of the country.

By Straight Arrow• 8 years 5 months ago.
Straight Arrow

yes it is

By Kareena74• 8 years 5 months ago.
Kareena74

Because there are orphanges in Qatar under the kind patronage of her highness Sheikha Mozza where such fatherless children born from housemaids and other expat women are kept in five star surroundings. These children are given Arabic names and Qatari citizenship as well. They are treated exceptionally well and even allowed to be adopted by Qatari families as long as they agree not to give them their family name. I am sure the same rules also apply in UAE with regards to these poor fatherless children.

By Straight Arrow• 8 years 5 months ago.
Straight Arrow

because they did not think of the consequences and the future of their sons!!

Miss Mimi do you support sex out of wedlock?

By Miss Mimi• 8 years 5 months ago.
Miss Mimi

No they won't. They will rot in an orphanage as they won't be able to be adopted, since the father's won't have given permission for adoption, they won't be given UAE citizenship, so therefore will not be able to go to University, or get a decent job. How is that better than being raised by mothers who love them?

By alex brod• 8 years 5 months ago.

to keep their children in UAE, because it is not guaranteed that these women will do the best for their children as they did not choose the right decision for them selves. Their children in UAE will be well taken care of.

By Miss Mimi• 8 years 5 months ago.
Miss Mimi

What isn't being mentioned, but has come up in a similar story here, is that the children won't be allowed to leave because the mothers won't be able to obtain a travel permit for the child, as it requires a marriage certificate:

those moms are not stupid - as someone mentioned above in her comment. if they are, they just left their child or tried to abort them.

By Good old joe• 8 years 5 months ago.

“This is the only thing that I dislike about this awesome place. Those poor women didn't get an abortion. They put their lives at risk when they delivered their babies at home without any kind of medical intervention and that too throughout their entire pregnancy. They could have abandoned their babies like some heartless people do. But they didn't do that. They went through the whole ordeal without a partner by their side. And this is what they get. If this was wrong, they should have been sent home.

Mothers with babies are treated nicely everywhere in the world, but not here. What difference does a wedlock make?”

By fubar• 8 years 5 months ago.

Maybe men could try keeping it in their pants for a change, or risk being arrested for playing around, instead of all the blame being on the woman.

I feel sorry for them, it is not their fault that their mums were so stupid and careless that they did not bother to use contraceptives in this region. Gosh how much does a box of birth control pill costs? 20 riyals and it lasts you the whole month.. Plus you don't even need a prescription in this part of the world to get contracptive pills from the pharmacy.. Dumb women. That is all I can say..

It's good to see that It's not only the UK that has senile judges.

If anything, the morons that got them pregnant and ran away should be caught and made to do time as well as pay for the upkeep of the kids.
