Coup de Palace - Qatar succcessful yet again

cryogenic

The recent agreement between the warring Lebanese factions brokered by Qatar is an unbeleivable diplomatic coup.
For many, this was considered impossible to acheive.
While the odds were heavily staked against Qatar, the tiny nation has achieved, what several movers and shakers of world polity cudnt achieve in ages.
In one stroke, Qatar has surpassed Saudi Arabia as the prime mid east decision maker.
While there are cynics who say this is just a temporary facade, made possible by millions of dollars exchanging hands and that the peace will be a fragile, short lived one, there are also hopes that this will atlast be the beginning of the end of brutal violence in Lebanon.
There are also opinions that Saudi Arabia is mightily annoyed that Qatar could achieve, what Saudi cudnt after years of negotiations.
Whatever the stand of people, I persoanally feel its a great success story for this nation and I feel very proud of this.
What do you feel?
Lets have a decent and sensible debate.

Time will tell.

I think the Qatari's hearts are in the right place and this doesn't matter if their hand is in their pocket. People have different things to give and even money can be priceless.

This things are going on for about more than 30 years, don't forget civil war from 75 to 90! even after 90 was the same but in diffirent ways, never trust these lebanese, they always like to blame others,,,

look at that bullshit Jonbelat, Hasan Nasrollah, who the hell they are?

Qatar's foreign policy and diplomatic very strong Qatar is more stronger than any other GCC countries, I hope it will help lebanese and lebanon to take a deep breath after 2 years, they are really a great nation and they deserve peace and stability... Long Live Qatar and Qatari, Peace Peace Peace
