Have anyone seen people wearing uniforms (Cops) and violating traffic rules –

  • Using mobile phones while driving.
  • Joining lanes from wrong side
  • Overtaking without Indicators etc….

Today again I  saw 2 officers in uniforms (looked like senior cops) in white land cruiser, talking on mobile, laughing and making U turn. I have seen these type of acts couple of time before too in our " SAFE"  Qatar roads.  What punishment should be given to people like this.  Any comments???

they feel they are exceptions to their own laws...thats why traffic accidents are barely minimized

nobody's implementing the traffic laws to expats and locals. so what more do you expect that they themselves will implement it on them

On my way to work now, I saw a police landcruiser with the cop in uniform speaking on the mobile phone while driving. I was going to post it on QL and here I find the same thread...

Must be a regular sight, if all of us are seeing it !

Qatar Idols

Just another example: in malls, they don't allow anyone to smoke, right? but u've seen some or most or either Qatari's especially teenagers who happen to smoke inside the mall. they doesn't care... even bothered... or scared about the signage and punishments. so now, i don't think even if u complain, some things will happen? or there will be an action or punishment to those disobedient? its a big NO. I DON'T THINK SO.

rules & regulations are applied only for EXPATS, not in their nationalities. so its better for you to be more aware especially when you're driving. good luck!
