Brave and courageous girl

Brave and courageous girl

By Good old joe

Asked on Jon Stewart's Daily Show what she wanted to tell the Taliban, which shot her in the head for espousing education for girls, Malala said, "You can shoot me, but listen to me first. I want education for your sons and daughters. Now I have spoken, so do whatever you want."

To Christian Amapour on CNN, she said of Taliban: "They only shot a body but they cannot shoot my dreams."

If a terrorist can change someone's mind and convince them to become a suicide bomber, we can also change their minds and tell them education is the only way to bring humanity and peace," she said, after insisting, "I am proud to be a girl, and I know that girls can change the world."

She said people did not have to do anything extra for their daughters, "but don't clip their wings...let them fly... and give them the same rights as your sons....give them a chance to be a human being."

l@l @wilsonp:

Rememebr Rachel Corrie ?... The 24 year old US girl who was killed ? ...what was the reaction of US and Western World during those days.

How many innocent muslims killed in Burma, Iraq and Afghanistan? Forget the reaction of US. what was your own reaction?

Be a good human being not a slave of fake super powers.

First of all, if SHE is brave enough, she should come back to Pakistan and play a role for education . . . but believe me its not the education for which she's being celebrated. Oh yes I am not a Taliban fan at all but what Malala is being used for, its not benefiting Pakistan either. Her so called views about Islam, Pakistan and the way she's described the condition of women in Pakistan are all pathetic and totally baseless. She should have mentioned that these are the girls who secure top positions in primary, secondary and graduation examinations. I am myself a student in the premier institute of business studies (ICAP) and evident of the fact that lots of girls are also studying in that institute from all over Pakistan. Her view cannot be the views of a girl who is just 16 years old.

I think we have to think about something else..My question is why Malala is celebrated?

There are many other boys and girls courageously stood for their own rights and ethics. We dont forget Muhammed al Durra (The Palestinian boy) , Asma El Beltagy...Etc. Why they all are not considered in a way Malala celebrated?....There is the politics plays.. They are not supporting Malala, but she is a bullet to attack their enemies (I cannot avoid this comment even though I'm against Taliban view)

Most of the time it's fame or fear that makes all the twists & turns in media.

If only some of the MCP could change their way of thinking .... world will be a better place.

It is condemnable act of Taliban to attack her , just because for her urge for education ... All countries, and even intelligentsia within the Muslim community was lambasting Taliban against their foolish act.

Now let us see other side : the euphoria and over-enthusiasm of Western World and UN. Are they really honest ? Do they react the same way for all victims around the world ?

Rememebr Rachel Corrie ?... The 24 year old US girl who was killed ? ...what was the reaction of US and Western World during those days.

there should not be double standards and over entusiasm and "CELEBRATION "

Media always got a twist to the news. It looks like she was attacked by the talibans because they are anti education.

The assassination attempt was made because she is attacking the TALIBANS by her words. It's not because TALIBANS are against education. Talibans view western education as a cancer, so this poor little girl generalize it as a whole. They are only against western education not educating the girl or whatsoever. I don't see why media needs to twist the truth. It doesn't make a point.
