S'hail, a platform of Qatar with a global reputation, was established in 2017. S'hail is steadfastly committed to preserving and promoting the art of Hunting & Falconry. S'hail is deeply committed to maintaining and spreading the art of hunting and falconry, guided and led by their higher organizational committee.

The International Hunting and Falconry Exhibition in Katara strives to promote a variety of outdoor sporting, commercial, and cultural endeavors relating to hunting and falconry. The exhibition also intends to promote productive interactions between traders and amateur falconers and to examine goods and services in this significant young market. 

Meaning of S’hail 

The only star that has a direct connection to hunting is S'hail, sometimes referred to as Canopus. It represents a fresh start. Every year, hunters and birds eagerly await the appearance of S'hail in the sky so they may go off on their journey. It goes through four distinct stages, and each one is equally meaningful. 

Every year on August 24 is the 1 S'hail, which is followed by falcon migration around 20 days later. It is split into four parts, the first of which is "Attarfah," which lasts 13 days and is distinguished by mild temperatures at night while high temperatures are reported during the day. The second phase is "Ajjabhah," which lasts 13 days and is the first star of Autumn, with colder nights and cooler days. Then comes "Azzubrah," which lasts 13 days and has evenings that are so frigid that sleeping outside is not recommended. "Asarfah," the final phase of the star "S'hail," lasts 13 days and heralds the end of hot weather. 

S'hail is the lone source of illumination for the mysterious realm of hunting and falconry amid the profound darkness of ignorance. Arabic culture places a lot of value on S'hail. 

In nature, the hunting season doesn't start until S'hail appears in the sky. Similarly, S'hail - Katara International Hunting & Falcon Exhibition ushers in the new season in the hunting and falconry industry.

S’hail as a platform 

S'hail is a platform that stands out from the rest of the area in terms of its size, diversity, and excellence. S'hail's goal is to satisfy hunting and falconry enthusiasts' needs and wants on a global scale. In September of 2017, we introduced our inaugural edition, which included more than 90 businesses from 15 different nations. S'hail was met with an overwhelming response that had a unique influence on the area. 

With the second edition in 2018, the adventure reached new heights and attracted more attention, thanks to the participation of 140 high-end international exhibitors from 20 different countries that specialize in hunting and falconry. The richness and diversity of S'hail drew notable individuals and a sizable crowd of 116,000 domestic and foreign guests. Visitors were mesmerized by the more than 1000 luxury falcons of various kinds present, which quickly became the talk of the town. This alone demonstrates S'hail's accomplishments in the fields of falconry and hunting.

The sixth edition

This year, the sixth edition of the exhibition is set to take its course from September 5 till September 10 welcoming more than 170 companies; 16 of which represent Arab nations while the rest belong to foreign countries.  

The exhibition won't be restricted to any particular areas, in order to support economic movement and marketing processes in the sector. Numerous cultural and creative activities are planned to improve our scene while reviving our true history. It incorporates the practice of live painting, in which a group of accomplished painters would demonstrate their skills "live," inspired by the environment of the exhibition. 

The festival also includes poetry readings and scientific presentations with a focus on falconry and hatching. Businesses will be allowed to launch a virtual store on the application showing goods and pertinent information about them while highlighting the ongoing effort done to improve the S'hail application. 

The vision behind the exhibition 

To promote the hunting hobby as well as Qatar's rich Arab heritage, with the motive to turn it into a global message by attracting participation from different countries around the world in this exhibition and meeting the needs of Qatari falconers and hunters so that they can enjoy their hobby at the highest level of luxury.
