HH the Amir pardons prisoners on the occasion of Ramadan
Upholding a longstanding, annual tradition, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has pardoned a number of prisoners on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
HH the Amir usually pardons inmates twice a year, during the fasting month and on the country's National Day.
The Holy Month of Ramadan, which began in Qatar on April 13 this year, brings with it a spirit of increased religious devotion, compassion and restraint.
Qatar witnesses an amazing sense of community spirit reflected in the number of charity initiatives undertaken by the government, non-profit organizations, families and individuals.
