hi am lebanese i had graduated in engineering b4 1 week from the last war so am fresh graduate,0 opportunities in lebanon right now, i've got an offer of 8000 QR inclusive.transportation on the company.so what do u think guys ?"masalan" 3000 for a private room,3000 personal expenses (including gym,dvds,showtime,shopping,fun)2000 monthly saved. is it a good plan?

I agree with Ghina, its not really worth it. Doha is very expensive and you will miss the life in lebanon, things will get better. As for the bribing thing, all you need is a wasta, and that's how i got my licence without taking the test. i just knew the right guy.

your uinternational driving licence is valid for 2 months i guess , or until you get your residence permit RP, but remeber let me tell you something, its not like lebanon in here

to have a qatari driving licence you have to do a hard test with a manual car, and you can't bribe anyone, wo ya rosy if you are getting in lebanon 1100 USD then dont leave for 2400 USD its not woth it, you can have extra money by teaching kids at home extra 500 USD, so 7aram.

Anyways as you like, bas DOHA is not LEBANON, and forget the problems there now, inshalla it will be over soon..

Rosy, you will have to rent a car until you have your residence permit, after that you will be able to buy a car. as for the international driving license, i 've been here for 2 months and i am still driving with mine, but to be honest, i dont know if that's legal or not since i've already got my RP.

If they are providing you an apartment the salary is good if you are single/married w/o kids.

hey guys (dragon 6, Doncorleone and Ghina) thank you for answering me, it's really helpful to get feedback from people who already live there. Anyway i earn in lebanon approximatly 1100$ per month back here in lebanon. so i just wanted to know if it's worth it to go for 9000 QR.

In fact what worries me most if i will be able to buy a car instead of renting one because rent is very expensive, and by the way do u have any idea if the international driving license is valid in qatar and if yes for how long? and can i rent a car by using it?

ahhhhhhhhhh u broke my heart ,such a nice prevert is mr corleone or should we call u Dr.phill ,u just found a servent rosey .

Borat, you probabely was dumped by a lebanese girl (or boy), but that does not mean that you have to take out all that bottled anger at rosy. all girls are not the same, whatever that girl (or boy)did to you, you should leave it behind you and move on. life goes on and you will still be dumped with that angry attitude of yours. take it easy dude and relax.

As for you rosy, please ask whatever you want' I\m at your service.

Before you go shooting your mouth off, it's always better to check your info!

An RN in Lebanon, would make a minimum of 800-900$. (point 1)

It is always normal for a person to get feedback from people living in a country before moving in, thus the reason for such forums. (point 2)

Asking a question and bragging are two different things. (point 3)

As a conclusion, I would suggest you crawl back to your dark corner and stay there.

Its a good offer rosy, but you did not mention if you're married or not, kids or not, for a single girl 9000 will be enough but dont forget this is not lebanon so you cannot go out every night or you'll spend the 9000 in 1 week.

You really need a car here. Also, if you earn only 9,000 and you are sending 7,000 back, you will have a very very frugal life here. On that basis, I wouldn't come here. It makes no sense.

It all depends on your lifestyle and what you are coming for.

You can blow off 9000Qr in a week, a month, or be able to save up to 4000 QR out of it per month.

You can rent a car for around 1600-1800 QR per month, but I would recommend buying a second hand car or a brand new one if you plan to stay here for 3-4 years, and you can pay around 750-1000QR per month and own the car.

For food and personal expenses, 2000-3000QR is what you need

so you will end up having 1000QR to shop with , and 4000QR to save!

Email me if you need more info, use my profile to email me.

Cheers!
