Qatar Energy Employment

I hope this message finds you well.

I have recently been shortlisted for the Technical Specialist position and was asked a few additional questions regarding my current salary, expected salary, and employer references. I have a few clarifications I’d like to seek before moving forward:

  1. In the later stages of the process, will salary slips be required for verification?
  2. Will the company conduct reference checks with all my previous employers or just my current employer?
  3. Once I provide the requested information, how long does the process typically take before the next steps?
  4. As I am being considered for a specialist position with approximately 14 years of experience, what should I expect in terms of the type and level of questions during the interview?
  5. Beyond the salary, will benefits such as children's education, health insurance, and accommodation allowance be offered separately? Are there any additional benefits that may be available as part of the package?

Additionally, any advice or insights that could assist in salary and benefits negotiations would be greatly appreciated.

For context, I am an Australian national planning to relocate with my family, which includes three children.

Thank you for your time, and I look forward to your response.

Thank You. UK

Hey!

My dad has been working in QatarEnergy for many years now and my husband recently got a job at QatarEnergy LNG (Different companies although the name suggests its a subsidiary). Keep in mind that i am answering from my personal experience assuming that QE LNG has similar HR policies to QE.

1. Yes, salary slip for last three months is required.

2. Only the direct line manager of the current employer. All verification (including educational) will be made through Certn/Credence. They drag on forever. You can check reddit posts regarding this.

3. Depends on the credence verification. At minimum even if they expedite the process, you will take 2 months for the process from start to finish. And thats not including the visa processing time.

4. Very technical. Expect no cliche questions. It will be directly related to the job and the job site. Try to read up more on what projects you may potentially be assigned to.

5. Yes childrens education will be completely covered for up to 4 children as fees in reputable schools are quite expensive. Health insurance, travel allowance and Accomodation/ allowance will be provided. Sometimes the accomodation allowance even matches the basic salary as rent is quite high in Qatar. Other benefits include location allowance (if the job site is far from Doha), one time furniture allowance, interest free car loans and more. Sonce you are relocation from Australia, you should also be provided with a set-up allowance
