Aspire Zone Foundation to host speaker series on sport and mental health
Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) is to host a series of lectures that focus on the relationship between sport and health and promote a healthy lifestyle among individuals, providing a platform for ideas and discussions that will attract sports experts from around the world.
Against the backdrop of COVID-19, the impact of the pandemic on the mental health of people around the world has been placed in the spotlight.
The Aspire Speakers Series has been launched to bring together thought leaders and promote social awareness of the connection between sport and mental wellbeing.
The first episode of the Aspire Speakers Series, entitled ‘Be Part of the Conversation’, will be held in collaboration with Qatar Foundation (QF) and screened live at aspirezone.qa on Monday, February 8, 2021, at 11 am local time.
The speaker will be the internationally renowned neuropsychiatrist Dr. John J. Ratey, author of Spark, who will examine the links between sport and physical exercise, and our brains. Moreover, the event will be hosted by beIN Sports presenter Andy Kerr.
Viewers are invited to participate by asking questions directly to the speaker via AZF’s social media platforms.
