Hello
Myself and my family have just moved here and wanted to know which beach club you would all recommend? Did fancy the Diplomatic Club but not now I have heard all expats are leaving!
I would like one with a gym, a beach and a nice pool. My kids are 3 and 4.
I did see one woman in a bikini at the Diplo, but admittedly she was on the beach, not by the pool. Plenty of "tankinis" about...more covering version of the bikini.
None of the big hotels are taking membership requests till after Eid - you could try the Intercon at that point. You can also visit the Intercon as a non-member during the week (not Fri/Sat) to see what it's like, though it's pricey.
Oasis is next to Sharq village, past Doha port and near Doha Sailing Club - keep heading up the Corniche with the sea on your left, you'll find it. Their number is in Marhaba.
It seems all beach clubs are not taking new membership applications until after Eid.
The only exception is the Diplomatic Club. I have just joined for 3 months. I was there last week and there were dozens of expats there. Where did you hear they were all leaving?
The Diplomatic Club is also used by Qataris but I view that in a positive light. It's nice to mix with the local people and not exist in an expat ghetto.
If you want to have somewhere to go before you can join a club, you can pay to get into the pool and beach at the Oasis Hotel. The pool is very nice and they also have a kids' pool. The beach is ok - but not the best you will have ever seen.
We used the Oasis when we arrived during Ramadan last year. We enjoyed it a lot.
Ramada memebership is full and theyve stopped taking names because the waiting list is so long.
Its a bit of a nightmare here at the minute to be honest[img_assist|nid=17864|title=Chicks dig Guys with skills|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=440|height=440]
i also want to know if you can wear a bikini. i do not have a problem at all with mixing with locals, i teach them all day, but I do have a problem with not being allowed to wear a bikini! this alleged ban is what i have heard is driving people away.
Covid-19 limitations are being eased with joint efforts of Qatar government institutions and co-operation of residents, according to the Ministry of Public Health.
The ultimate destination of Latin heritage and Mexican culinary, SenorRitas Tex-Mex, the largest specialty Mexican restaurant in Qatar, located in the Lusail area at the Cielo Hotel, has officially opened.

Ramada is one of the best only problem no beach but evey thing else 5star and good prices
I think the intercon is the best for your kids age but the gym is small. they also have squash and a tennis courts.
I always tell the truth, even when I lie
I am a member of ramada cabana club n there if u r not in swim suit u r not allowed to go in the pool most wear bikini there
If you can't change your fate, change your attitude.
Mcfly, I am one of the expat who left the Dip club because they stopped allowing bikinis. Rumor is true!
