Looking for something to do this month? Qatar National Library is more than just an architectural masterpiece full of books. This August the library is hosting a number of exciting events that will appeal across age groups and interests, so give one of these a shot!

Little Designer

This girls-only event for ages 8 to 12 teaches kids how to bring their fashion designs to life!

Off the Hook: Knitting and Crochet Circle

A casual gathering of knitters and crocheters get together to work on projects and share skills. You’re welcome to bring your own supplies or to borrow QNL needles and yarn. All skill levels are welcome, including beginners that want to learn.

Book Club for the Blind: The Prophet, by Khalil Gibran

The monthly Book Club for the Blind will meet to discuss ‘The Prophet’ by Khalil Gibran. The book tells of the life and death of Al-Mustafa, the chosen and beloved Prophet, as he ends a 12-year sojourn in Orphalese.

Those interested can download the one-hour-long audiobook in the Naxos Spoken Word Library at www.qnl.qa. Non-visually impaired visitors are also welcome at the session.
