Qatar International Boat Show and its exciting lineup of activities is here
Do you know the latest event that many are talking about in the country? Why, it’s none other than the 2015 edition of the Qatar International Boat Show (QIBS)!
Now, for those of us who assume that the QIBS is none other than a boring boat exhibition for prospective buyers alone, its official website urges us to think twice.
Filled with fun activities, the event serves one purpose alone, which is to entertain all kinds of people belonging to all age groups.
The QIBS which is being held in Mourjan Marinas at the Lusial city from the 10th to 14th of November, had its official opening ceremony yesterday among much fanfare. More about the opening ceremony could be read right in our NEWS Forum under the topic “H.E the Minister of Economy and Commerce inaugurates International Boat Show 2015”.
In addition to this, here’s what’s really interesting about the QIBS-
If you’re a water sport lover, then you’d not want to miss out the wakeboarding demonstration by Khalid Al Awadhi – a professional member of the Kuwaiti Wakeboard Team.
Apart from this, to the great delight of the afore mentioned water sport lovers, a whole load of water sports like canoeing, fly boarding, Jet Ski racing, kite surfing, scuba diving, and of course wakeboarding will be provided by Blue Marine.
A first-timer in Doha to look out for would be the Gais Spear gun, a type of gun produced for fishing, which will be highlighted in the “Made in Qatar” stand.
Then, of course there’ll be the parade of Harley-Davidson Motor Bikes which captured many people’s attention the last time.
For the kids, the QIBS will have a Pirates and Mermaids kids’ zone where there will be a playground area, as well as engaging activities such as drawing, painting, storytelling related to boating, the sea, sailing, and so on, as well as a dedicated F&B area.
When it comes to the Food & Beverages, delicious meals prepared by tents managed by five-star hotels with cuisines on offer including Lebanese, Japanese (Sushi), and Italian etc. along with a generous salad bar and high-end Italian coffee are what the QIBS has in store for you.
Finally, when it all comes to an end on the 14th of November, the closing ceremony at 9.30PM will include yachts sounding their horns throughout the harbour.
The QIBS looks like an event that should not be missed! So when are you planning to go?
