WATCH: QL Adventures visits Qatar's Gaelic football club
The QL Adventures team recently headed down to Strongbox near Lusail to visit with Qatar's Irish community to take part in one of their highly competitive Gaelic Football training sessions.
Gaelic football is a unique sport comprising of kicking, catching, hopping and soloing a football to score points, either via a goal for three points, above the goal for one point.
Originally founded in 2004, the sport now features over , and continues to compete internationally as Qatar GAA represent Qatar abroad in tournaments across the Middle East. The team continues to travel and compete despite the obstacles the unjust blcokade against Qatar have set.
Featuring divisions for Men, Women and even children, the Gaelic Atheltic Association (GAA) has grown into a competitive league featuring a number of nationalities including Brazil, France, South Africa and the US. Even Qatar's own pro golfer Yasmian Al-Sharshan plays in the women's division.
