Qatar shooting team wins Gold Medal in Arab championship
Qatar’s portfolio of sports achievements expands with yet another accolade as the country’s national shooting team secures a gold medal in the mixed skeet competition in the Arab championship in Egypt.
Shooters Rashid Saleh Al Athba and Reem Al Sharshani claimed the gold in the mixed skeet competition in the championship, which runs until June 12.
The championship sees the participation of over 300 shooters representing as many as 15 Arab teams.

Qatar’s gold yesterday became the fourth medal secured by the Qatari team in the tournament.
Earlier, Qatar's Rashid Saleh Al Athba, Masoud Saleh Al Athba and Ali Al Ishaq has claimed the bronze medal in the team event. Kuwaiti shooters had claimed the gold in the team event with Saudi clinching the silver medal.
On Friday, Qatar shooting team opened its campaign in the Championship by winning a gold medal and a silver.
Prominent Qatari shooter Reem Al Sharshani clinched the gold medal in the women's skeet event, as her team-mate, Rashid Saleh Al Athba grabbed the silver medal in the men's skeet event.
