Distance Learning / Masters Degree- Plz help
Hi.
I am writing to seek guidance regarding Qatari work permit.
I have a bachelors degree earned from University of London distance learning programme. I was not based in the UK when I studied for the degree. I have heard that it will not be recognized in Qatar as it is a distance learning program. Is that correct?
If so, would it help if my postgraduate diploma in law is from England, which I studied and earned on a full time on campus course in England?
In addition, would my registration with the local professional body be of any help?

Hi there, I have a similar issue that just surfaced. My Bachelors is a distance degree and therefore it cannot get attested albeit done locally on campus. I was wondering if having my Diploma attested instead would suffice for a Family Residency Permit? Though this isn't my highest qualification.
A degree obtained through distance learning program is usually not recognized by many countries including Qatar. Your postgraduate diploma will be recognized. If you are seeking to find employment in Qatar, your postgraduate diploma will suffice in getting you employment followed by a work permit. Your registration with any local professional body would make no difference.
