Hello,

I renewed my passport and Qatar ID last February 2018. But in my Qatar ID the old passport was still on it. Unfortunately, our company computer license is still on process and I will having my vacation on May 2018. Will I be allowed to exit and enter Qatar just by bringing my new and Old Passport?

Thank you for the answer.

Can someone renew Qatar ID for expired passport number ?

Following are the steps to change the passport number (after obtaining the new passport following renewal) in QID:

1 ) Go to gharaffa immigration office - Mrng 7 -12 and evng

1 pm - 4 pm

2) Go to gate 2- get a token

3) carry your old passport, new passport, Old QID and a debit card/ credit card with you

4) when your token number comes, give the passport and QID and tel them that you have come to change the passport number in QID- pay 100 QR via debit / credit card and wait for 5 minutes

5 ) you may collect the card from the same counter after 5 minutes.

Please bear in mind that the new QID will have only a new passport number but the QID expiry date will be same as the previous QID.

Its not mandatory for the corresponding person to go to immigration office. Husband can do it for their wife also.

@Cherry31, Just go to Al Wakrah Service Center, bring your new passport & QID and prepare 100Qr (but not cash, they are accepting only ATM or Credit card) and in a minute you they will give you your new QID.

@wayfarer007 thankyou so much for the information. I already update my Qatar ID paying only 100Qr at wakrah service center.

No, you will not be allowed (while coming back from your country to Qatar) unless the passport no mentioned in your ID card matches with the new passport. you can do the same here by visiting any Service centre like wakra or Abu Hamur, by just giving your ID card and new passport and pay 100 Qr. they will update and give you new ID card with your new passport. But when you travel, to your country take old passport with you, so that they can verify, when was the last time you traveled.
