Residence Visa Under Process

Helloh everyone can you please assist,my wife came to Qatar on family visit visa and later applied for family residence visa ,but her family residence visa is still under process with visa number and expirery date and that of the child have been approved.My worry is that her visit visa is expiring tomorrow,what will be the consequences of the expiring visa because at Immigration they told me to wait .
