Dog-friendly parks and other places in Qatar
Doha may not have many dog parks or locations where you can take your furry friend to play or walk. Dogs are tolerated in Qatar, but they aren’t openly welcome in most public areas. The Ministry of Municipality and Environment’s Animal Resources Department has said that dogs are generally not allowed in public places, including many of the parks. Dogs are allowed in specific areas, provided that they are on a leash at all times. We have picked up the famous spots for you and your furry friend to enjoy.
5/6 Park
The 5/6 park takes its name from the ‘5/6 arch’ monument. The park is located in a very strategic location surrounded by tourist hotspots such as Katara, Lusail, and also the West Bay beach. Luscious greenery, playgrounds, prayer rooms, fitness/exercise equipment area, flowers arranged to picture the Qatari flag, hills, beautiful lighting, wall art, and art installations are all the attractions you can find in this park. The park is also pet friendly.

Al Bidda Park
Aside from its size, trails, and beautiful scenic flora, the fact that Al Bidda is Qatar's very first pet-friendly park, definitely sets it apart. Before its closure in 2014, Al Bidda was one of Doha’s oldest and most popular public parks.
In order to keep the park pet and people-friendly, pet owners are advised to keep their pet on a leash at all times and bring baggies and a pooper-scoop with them as these items are unavailable in the park.
Location: In between Corniche Street and Majlis Al Taawon Street, Doha, Qatar.
Timings: All days of the week open 24 hours

Doha Sports Park
Doha Sports Park is a unique multi-sports and activities venue located within the Doha Golf Club. The park features high-quality sports pitches and facilities that can easily be booked, with the beautiful backdrop of the golf course and palm tree-lined grass pitches.
The park is pet friendly and you can find a huge number of other pets that your pet can play and socialize with. Visitors are advised to keep their pets on a leash and also clean after them strictly.

Oxygen Park
Oxygen Park is known as the green lung of Education City and it serves as a futuristic natural space. The Hills and plains of the park shape some magical views. Oxygen Park is a landscaped open space that incorporates sports, recreation, and heritage in a relatively cool environment through several sections like the Shade garden, Scent garden, Sound garden, and Wind garden.
Visitors are advised to keep their pets on a leash and also clean after them strictly.
Location: Education City, Ar-Rayan, Qatar
Timings: All days of the week 6:00 am - 11 pm
Nearest Metro Station: Education city and Qatar National Library Metro station (Green Line)
The Pearl Qatar
The Pearl Qatar is an ideal location if you want to enjoy yourself and also walk your pet in the scenic location. Pets are allowed on the main roads and parks of The Pearl. Many dog owners are seen walking their dogs along the main roads and parks of The Pearl.
Porto Arabia and Qanat Quartier are the most popular areas to walk your pets. However, during any events at any of the green areas, it is advised not to take your pet with you. Moreover, pets are not permitted on the beaches or swimming pools.

Radisson Blu Hotel, Doha
The Radisson Blu Hotel, Doha is renowned for its attentive service and stunning interiors. Top attractions such as the Museum of Islamic Art, the National Museum of Qatar, Souq Waqif, and Aspire Park are all just a short drive from the hotel. The hotel features a wide range of restaurants, an on-site bar, and recreational areas. The hotel is pet-friendly and on their website, they have advised contacting first for more information.
