Summer temperatures in Qatar are picking up, and most events and entertainment have been moved indoors. This week in Qatar promises to be an eventful one with the highly anticipated Doha International Book Fair taking center stage at DECC. Also taking place this week is a sensational live concert starring Lebanese artiste Ragheb Alama and a special father’s day celebration.

Doha International Book Fair
Step into summer by stocking up on some great books at the Doha International Book Fair (DIBF). Organized by the Ministry of Culture, DIBF returns this year with stalls from over 35 countries featuring a selection of English books, Arabic books, Islamic books, children’s books, toys and educational resources. Taking place over ten days, the book fair is an excellent opportunity to explore books from around the world and stock up on favorites.

Ragheb Alama Live Concert
Enjoy an extraordinary live concert by Lebanese Artiste Ragheb Alama on June 14 at the Oasis Stage in Mall of Qatar. The event is free for all and promises to be a sensational one.

Hajj: Journey of a lifetime and Qatari Eid traditions
Experience the hospitality of traditional Qatari culture and learn about the importance of Hajj. The event will be conducted in English and will be an excellent opportunity for you to make friends over coffee and gain some invaluable insights on Hajj and Qatari culture. Held during the morning hours at Bin Zaid Center, the event is open only for ladies upon registration.

Kiddy Zone PLAY YARD

Summer is the perfect time to master a new skill. Sign up for one of the craft workshops at the Katara Studios Art that will take place every weekend from June 9 to June 24. Choose from mastering the skills of string art, bead art, giant paper flowers and more.

Katara Summer Trade Fair
