Events this week in Qatar: October 1-7
Qatar takes center stage as some of the world’s most coveted events takes place for the very first time in the country this week. Starting tomorrow Monday, October 2, Expo 2023 Doha will open its doors to the world showcasing the highest horticultural standards in a hot climate area, while the Geneva International Motor Show and Formula 1 Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix will kick off later on this week.
Get ready to be dazzled as the world’s best entertainers, athletes and horticultural experts arrive in Doha, to bring in a show-stopping line-up of events this week in Qatar.

Expo 2023 Doha
In the works for nearly a year, Expo 2023 Doha will open its doors to the world under the theme “Green desert, better environment”, with the participation of over 80 countries in an area covering 1.7 million square meters at Al Bidda Park. Expo 2023 Doha will provide visitors an interactive experience with nature in three main zones which are the international zone, family zone and cultural zone.
The event is also an excellent opportunity to visit the most stunning pavilions from countries around the world, in addition to exploring the latest advancements in technology and immersing yourself in the rich tapestry of global cultures through arts, food, music and more.
The event is free to attend and will be open to the public from Tuesday, October 3.

Geneva International Motor Show 2023
Gear up for the ultimate automotive festival taking place for the first time outside Switzerland in Qatar from October 5-14, 2023. In addition to the main exhibition that will include a classics gallery and take place at Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC), the Geneva International Motor Show 2023 (GIMS Qatar 2023) will also feature four immersive events in some of the most prominent locations in the country.

Formula 1 Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix
Experience the thrill of Formula 1 at the Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix at the newly redesigned Lusail International Circuit this week. The event is open only to Formula 1 ticket holders and will take place from October 6-8 with a total of 10 teams competing for the top spot in the 2023-24 season.

How to use your language to present your identity and religion
